The students choreograph many of their own pieces, along with presenting dances created by the teacher. Every year a different theme is presented, such as the "Fiesta de Colores," a multi-cultural dance festival, and "A Tribute to Stevie Wonder," with the pieces all being performed to Stevie Wonder music. The concert provides an opportunity for students to learn more about performing, choreographing, working with a stage crew, and producing a show. Every year, students report how their confidence and self-esteem gets boosted by this experience, how they learn to work with other people even under intense pressure, and of course, how much fun they have!
