We at San Lorenzo hope that you--the students, parents, staff and community members will find our school a warm and welcoming place to spend your high school years.

Because discipline occurs in the Assistant Principals' office, also known as A-8, people forget that we have many other functions. For example, if you have an issue with your locker (like you don't have one or it's broken), please visit the front counter. If you are injured on campus, you will be brought to A-8, while your parents are notified by the Administrative Assistants. If you lose personal property, or it is stolen, you can file a property loss report for insurance purposes. If you witness an accident or incident, you can make a report in A-8. Students who must take medicines at school should keep them stored in A-8 and report here to take them. Work permits are also obtained in A-8. If you need to speak to an assistant principal for any other reason, please set an appointment with the administrative assistants.

Ms. Julie Calderon I'm happily beginning my 3rd year as assistant principal. I graduated from SLz in 1990 and went to receive a B.A. in English and a secondary school teaching credential from UC Berkeley. I served as a Spanish and English teacher at Tennyson High for four years. During that time, I earned a M.A. in Creative Writing from the University in San Francisco in 1998. I was excited to return to San Lorenzo as an English teacher. Inspired by my fellow administrators, I decided to pursue my administrative credential at Cal State East Bay, completing my coursework in the summer of 2005. Rebel Pride is about being proud of your roots, welcoming everyone, and giving back to your community. It is great to see that our school's values have remained the same over the years. I know the students and staff will continue to inspire me to strive towards excellence.
