Clubs

Games Club

Advisor: Mr. Draper

Purpose of Club: To unite students a common interest in playing a variety of games, and to provide a friendly environment where students can show off their gaming skills. Games shall be placed with a non-betting purpose.

Ever Forward Club

Purpose of Club: The Ever Forward Club is a support group at San Lorenzo High School for students who have goals but lack the support network to achieve those goals. The Ever Forward Club is a family of students who all have made a decision that the negativity that surrounds us in our community and our world can only affect us if we choose to allow it. The Club has been featured in several publications and currently is in the process of expanding a chapter in Tamil Nadu, India.

Dance Club

Purpose of Club: To create and perform dance productions and promote an appreciation of dance.

DECA

Purpose of Club: To develop a respect for education in marketing management. to assist our members in regrowth and development in DECA.

Drama Club

Purpose of Club: To provide a social and educational experience for Filipino students and others.

La Raza Unida

Purpose of Club: To help alleviate the problems of facing Latinos/Latinas by seeking to make higher education much more accessible and, relevant to them encouraging and increasing awareness of all Latino students. The organization will strive to increase the number of Latinos in higher education, will take on education and social issues that affect our communities and will serve as a support group for all Latinos.

TV and Film Club

Purpose of Club: To study all aspects of film and television.

Gay Straight Alliance

Fashion Club

Purpose of Club: The Fashion Club aims to create an environment where members can openly express themselves about the fashion world and to stimulate creative expression in all aspects of fashion (including fashion sketching and creative design).

Snowboard and Ski Club

Purpose of Club: To explore mountains and snow in the Sierra Mountains while providing students an opportunity to learn to snowboard or ski.

Service Learning Project Club

Purpose of Club: This organization is composed of students in the Environment Science Class. To give students a taste of being a business owner, students will develop a school based business. Because we have learned about all the ways we have messed up our environment and our bodies (with junk food), our businesses will be “green” (have little or no impact on the environment) and help our SLz community in some way.
