We present the following questions and answers in hopes that they will assist you.
- Can I get a message to my student?
- The student body at San Lorenzo is very large. Therefore, we cannot contact your student during the day unless it is a true emergency. Thank you for understanding.
- What does WIC stand for, and where is the WIC office?
- WIC stands for Women, Infant and Children's Nutrition Services, and the WIC office is located in Health Center in Room S-5, and it has an outside entrance from Ashland Avenue. If you park in Ashland lot, it is located in the middle of the S-Wing building.
- What is the address to San Lorenzo High School?
- 50 E. Lewelling Blvd, San Lorenzo, CA 94580. Click for a map or to get driving directions.
- What is the school's fax number?
- Our fax number is (510) 278-0547, and it is also located on the home page of this site.
- What time are the students being released? What time does school begin?
- All your questions about bell schedules and release times can be found in the links on our Schedules page. You will find calendar information here as well.
- May I speak to the Principal?
- You must set up an appointment to speak with our principal. To arrange one, speak with the Office Manager, and she will assist you in this matter. However, be aware that the principal is very busy and it may take some time for a meeting to occur.
- What time is the lunch period?
- On most days our lunch period will be between 11:20-12:00. Even on adjusted bell schedule days, our lunch time is close to these times.
- Does AC Transit or BART stop by the school? What is the schedule?
- Both AC Transit and Bart travel near our campus. Dial 511 and you will be directed to information on both Bart and the bus lines.
- May I speak to...?
- For all contact information for teachers, counselors, vice principals, ativities and athletic directors, please see our People page and check out the phone list--you can even send them an email. Also, your student can email his/her counselor directly for some information. See the counselors page under Support.
- How do I enroll or withdraw a student at San Lorenzo?
- For information on what is necessary, please refer to our Policies page under the Attendance dropdown. Both of these issues are addressed here as well as many more items that may be of interest to you. You should also watch the site bulletin board for more information closer to the start of school.
- Who can visit San Lorenzo?
- Because the purpose of SLZ is primarily educational rather than social, visitors (friends or relatives) on campus during class hours are not allowed. Parents or guardians who wish to visit are welcome and may do so through prior arrangement with the Principal or Assistant Principals. Parents who visit must check in at the Main Office before entering the campus.
- When does summer school start and end?
- This year it will be held at Arroyo, and it will begin Wednesday, June 21, and end on July 27th. It will be held from 8:00am-2:00pm daily Monday through Thursday.
