Progress Reports and Parent Conferences

Three types of progress reports are available to students. The purpose of both types of progress reports is to encourage improvement in school work.

  1. Weekly progress reports can be taken by students to teachers on Fridays for a brief written report on how they are doing in a certain class or all current classes. The student, their parents, a coach or a counselor can request these weekly reports.
  2. Freshmen in the 9th grade Advocate program will fill out a weekly progress report and turn it into the advocate each Friday. The student Advocate will monitor his or her academic progress together throughout the term.
  3. Mid-term progress reports are mailed home to parents or guardians half-way through each grading period. This is a warning notice from teacher(s) if students have any grade of a C- or below. The student will need to improve his/her work and attendance immediately to remediate the grade.

Parent/teacher/Counselor conferences are available if a student is having serious problems in a class. Please contact the counselor or teacher to request a conference. Parents can also call counselors or teachers directly for information.
