Withdrawal Policy

Many schools require a copy of a withdrawal form and a transcript before they will register a new student in their school. To obtain this withdrawal form, the parent/guardian will need to call, come in, or write a note to the attendance office stating:

  • When the student is withdrawing
  • The name of the school (if known) that the student will be attending next
  • The city and state of the new school

The Attendance Office will write a withdrawal form with the proper procedures for the student to follow. This will include:

  • Signing out of each class with a withdrawal grade from each teacher
  • Clearing book room, library and Student Body Office fees and obligations
  • Counselor and Assistant Principal signatures

When all withdrawal procedures are met, and unofficial transcript of grades and credits earned at SLZ, and a copy of the withdrawal form, will be issued to the student to take to his/her new school.
